The North-Eastern Islands (comprising Pulau Ubin and Pulau Tekong) will remain as predominantly open space. To enhance the recreational character of Pulau Ubin, two parcels of land have recently been tendered out for the development of rustic holiday accommodation and/or outdoor activity centre.

PROPOSED LAND USES
Open space is the predominant land use in both Pulau Ubin and Pulau Tekong. Pulau Ubin will remain as a venue for sports and recreational activities. An additional land area of about 2,694ha will be reclaimed at both Pulau Ubin and Pulau Tekong for future developments.

OPEN SPACE AND RECREATION
Two new sites are proposed for development as rustic holiday and outdoor recreation activity centre to complement the existing National Police Cadet Corps campsites and the Outward Bound School in Pulau Ubin. The island wil be retained as a recreational getaway for Singaporeans.
