Details of key feedback received during the exhibition

Public Feedback: Nature areas
A number of respondents requested that Pulau Ubin be kept in its natural state. They also asked for stronger commitment from the Government to retain nature areas.

How this feedback has been addressed
In the current Concept Plan, we have no plans to develop Pulau Ubin. In 1991, we had set aside some land in Pulau Ubin for housing but in the 2001 Concept Plan, Pulau Ubin is designated mainly as open space and reserve land. The intention is to leave it in its natural state for as long as possible. However, due to our limited land resource, we need to retain the flexibility to review the situation in the future should circumstances change.
