What
I find unique about Pulau Ubin |
My
hopes for Pulau Ubin |
| 1 |
The
unique presence - sight and smell. Whatever vegetation planted by
past dwellers and the forest trees blend so well! |
Leave
Ubin as it is. Nature at its best. The help this island needs is to
pick up litter left by irresponsible visitors. |
| 2 |
nature |
retain
rustic charm |
| 3 |
The
wild nature(in the process of destruction) and the relaxing lifestyle
of Ubinites |
To
be kept as natural as it can be, and not to be commercialise as the
next Sentosa. |
| 4 |

i
had my obs course there...n there are the natural structures in ubin
that u'll never see in Singapore. during my obs course, i went star
gazing in the night while on duty...n that was the best sky i've ever
seen, never can be seen in singapore - coz the stars are either being
blocked out by the tall buildings, or the lights cover them up. |
just
remain that way |

i
think that pulau ubin is unique bcos it is a place that is not fully
developed.unlike the main island. it is oso a great place for cyclist
as well as extreme hiker. National police cadet corp(NPCC) oso hav
their campsite there . it create a oportunity for their cadets 2 learn
different skills . in pulau ubin , there is oso a chalet for those
who like to enjoy outdoor activity |
i
hope that pulau ubin will remain as it original look .i hope that
it serve as a natural attraction for torist as well as locals .i also
feel that it should retain its natural surrounding 2 let future generation
hav a sightseeing in pulau ubin |

its
more natural and we can feel what is it to feel like in the wild.
i'm a npcc cadet and i went there quite a lot...even in obs i went
there too. i think its great to have all the nature life. |
i
wish everything could be the same without changing anything |

Pulau
Ubin has the rustic, relaxed feel of what I think is representative
of a bygone era, a quaint reminder of what Singapore would have been
like in its earlier years...
I like how Nature remains untouched by human interference, and the
abundance of bio-diversity that thrives on Ubin.
Being on Pulau Ubin transports me across time and space into a different
experience of Singapore -- one which, at heart, is very natural. :)

I
sincerely hope that Pulau Ubin will remain the way it is. I don't
want to see the hand of Progress and Technology ravage this tiny island,
the last remnant of what our past was like. I think it's important
that Pulau Ubin remains untouched so that we have an island that allows
Singaporeans an authentic retreat into a place we can identify as
our own. |

The
low level of technology that keeps the singapore rural taste back
in the 70s. |
to
remain untouched by technology and its effects. and hope that nparks
will not block off tracks and keep tar roads to a min. dirt tracks
are what ppl are looking for. |
